Vrijdag 10 november werd bekend gemaakt dat Karina Canellakis en het Radio Filharmonisch Orkest genomineerd zijn voor de prestigieuze GRAMMY Awards in de categorie ‘Best Orchestral Performance’. In Podium reageerde de dirigent op deze nominatie.

"Ik ben zo blij om te horen dat mijn Bartók-opname met het Radio Filharmonisch Orkest is genomineerd voor een Grammy", zegt Canellakis in een reactie. "Het is een prachtige knipoog naar deze uiterst expressieve en meeslepende muziek, maar ook naar de muzikale reis die het orkest en ik door de jaren heen samen hebben gemaakt. Gefeliciteerd RFO!"
